Average Price Of Toe Shortening My

Al Qaeda and the currents of "fundamentalist" Islamic

Facts and Myths

"East has been almost a European invention ... "[..]
presupposed an unchanging Orient, absolutely different from the West (the reasons for this change from one era to another) ...
"[...] The East 'orientalist', "could have been created by another relationship that was not the policy of master-slave relationship?"
(Edward W. Said, "Orientalism")

A constant of all imperialist domination has been the creation stereotypes about the oppressed, to justify their subjugation. From the Roman Empire barbaricus was a duty to enslave, "to the dangerous" Islamic "(with the pump in the pocket) waving U.S. imperialism and its junior partners in Europe. All these scarecrows have been created by that "the political master-slave relationship, which indicated the great Palestinian intellectual Edward W. Saïd (1935-2003).

After the end of the Cold War, the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1989/91, "Islamophobia" was replacing anti-communism in the media circus and ideological West. And it came to height with the bombing of the Twin Towers in 2001, which gave the desired pretext for the U.S. to launch neo-colonial wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Thus, imperialism was spent to renovate an old stereotypes about the Orient "Islamic" essentially unchanged, frozen in the "religious fanaticism" and incapable for centuries, almost genetically, "progress" and "civilized." In addition to the versions offered by illiterate Yankees series and movies, these racist myths also disseminated to more public religious movements, for example, the hodgepodge of Huntington about the "clash of civilizations." [1]

Al-Qaeda and the currents of "fundamentalist" Islamic have been just perfect for the masters of the West to put the myths of "Islamophobia" in the forefront of popular sectors in the U.S. and Europe, especially among the middle classes going from bad to worse with the capitalist crisis and need a bogeyman to fear and hate.

The paradox of this is that it was imperialism, particularly the U.S., who was instrumental in the emergence of "political Islam"-and especially of "Islamic fundamentalism" - in the last decades of the twentieth century.

A course of two centuries toward modernization and secularization that was interrupted

Indeed, the so-called "Muslim world" (in which the Arabs have an important but minority), far from being immutable ideologically and politically, followed in the past two centuries a marked course toward modernization, secularization and secularism. This trend was interrupted in the late twentieth century, especially in the '80s and '90s, the strengthening of current policies that are demanded of Islam, with more or less extreme positions. In a small minority in relation to secular nationalism and even to the left, came to have mass influence in some cases.

should be noted, first Instead, the emergence or strengthening of religious fundamentalism in those years is not exclusive to the Muslim world. It was a global phenomenon.

Simultaneously, India exploded Hindu and Sikh fundamentalism. In the U.S., a component of the "Conservative Revolution" Reagan was the epidemic of Christian fundamentalism with more reactionary sects and preachers, televangelists unbearable. This global phenomenon

political-religious ideology was part of a reactionary stage, with widespread losses in the labor movement and mass, culminating in the collapse of the former USSR, the capitalist restoration in the (alleged) socialist countries and neoliberalism reigns everywhere.

Losses, ideological and political vacuum, and action of imperialism

to the emergence of "political Islam" in general and of Islamic fundamentalism in particular, have combined a variety of factors, some common to those who pointed and specific. The main ones were:

• Bankruptcy and disasters of radical secular nationalism, which also called themselves "socialist", whose ultimate expression was the Nasser regime in Egypt. Secular nationalism were, in turn, an overwhelming mass support. Also, initially tried promote economic development and gave an independent reaching concessions to the workers and popular masses. This support was losing the rhythm of economic failure, corruption of the state apparatus and relapse in the misery of mass sectors.

• The left parties but also developed strong in Egypt, Iraq, Syria and other countries, never struggled to be an alternative to the inevitable disaster of secular bourgeois nationalism. Hegemony of the communist parties obedient to Moscow, he applied the line for the "progressives" of the bourgeoisie that dictated the Kremlin. In 1979, the military occupation of Afghanistan by Soviet Union was added as a factor of political turmoil and immense prestige of socialism versus the masses.

• Amid the growing political and ideological vacuum, Islam traded with the decisive support of the U.S. through its main agent in the region after Israel, the billionaire oil monarchy of Saudi Arabia. Since the mid-'50s, after failing in their attempts to attract Nasser, USA defined as the axis of its policy to promote Islamist currents against secular nationalism and the left.

The "political Islam" ... in part, Made in USA

The "revival" "political Islam" was not of course a graft from another planet. But, in its complexity, must be aware that anything had a strong "Islamic" means the direct or indirect action of U.S. imperialism. [2]

This covered many areas. For example, while the secular nationalist governments were increasingly unable to meet the needs of the masses, from the oil states will finance a billion dollar network of "charities" operating from Islamic mosques. It came to the most deprived masses and less political and cultural level.

Another item-is facing the middle class and bourgeois sectors was set up networks of "Islamic banking" (which supposedly does not charge interest, forbidden by the Koran). Large U.S. banks, such as City and Chase gave operational support. These "Islamic financial sectors" were preachers of neoliberalism and privatization ... preaching that had audience with the failures of statist nationalism.

The war in Afghanistan

But the leap was the jihad (holy war) against the Soviet occupation in 1979. There is "born" Osama bin Laden and passed to the most extreme face of "political Islam."

From the works of Charity of the mosques and loans of the "Islamic banks", was passed to organize the first international Islamic army in history, thousands of fighters who came from Morocco to Malaysia, speaking dozens of languages. Osama is laid by the CIA at the head of recruitment and organization of the force.

His appointment was no accident. As a person, Osama reflected the close association that existed between the "fundamentalism", the Saudi state and Washington. The bin Laden is one of the richest families in Saudi Arabia, closely linked to the monarchy as a works concessionaire. Moreover, as partners Bush family since the '60s were in close relationship with the American establishment.

After the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan in 1989, the mujahedin gathered by Osama dispersed in various countries, where many continued to operate, but now beyond the control of imperialism that had armed and trained.

Meanwhile, the collapse of the former USSR had also changed the game of Washington and the governments of Muslim states in relation to these increasingly angry "holy warriors." Terrorist actions in Afghanistan were doing before, now began to make in other countries. In the '90s, it was growing. September 2001 it was just the peak of this climb.

2 .- This was, of course, contradictory elements: Iran, a predominantly Shia, a minority branch of Islam, developed a strong political movement that played a key role in the overthrow of the Shah's pro-US regime in 1979 and since then has had more friction or less strong with the U.S.. But at the same time, after the 1979 revolution, the clerical unit ended up playing a role arch-reactionary, crushing the labor movement and the Iranian left.

Rollercoaster Drop Feelings

shed no tears for bin Laden, but ... We condemn the state terrorism of U.S. imperialism!

On Sunday May 1, in an unexpected news conference, Obama announced the death, or more appropriately, the murder of Osama bin Laden.

Reports and confusing and contradictory accounts of the U.S. government, the fact that refuses to show a single photograph of the deceased and also say you can not produce the body of bin Laden because he has thrown into the sea, has fueled all sorts of doubts and speculations. Is not there any independent observer or witness who can corroborate any of these statements by Obama and his staff.

However, it is likely that, indeed, the command of assassins sent by the White House Abbottabad, Pakistan, death to give Osama bin Laden. Even his supporters in the region seem to take that for true.

detained for trial, though it was a parody, could become a boomerang for imperialism directly or indirectly responsible death of millions of human beings in the "greater Middle East" from that in 1991 Bush (father) launched the first war in Iraq and in the decade following his son began colonial occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq.

worse, Osama bin Laden was a "wayward child" of the CIA. Blood career did not begin in September 2001 with the attack on the Twin Towers in New York, but as a coordinator, appointed by the CIA and Saudi Arabia, the Islamic jihadists who came from many countries to "fight Communism" in Afghanistan during the '80s. At that time, for the U.S., bin Laden and his people were not "terrorists" but "Freedom fighters", "freedom fighters" praised in Hollywood films.

would have been, therefore, very interesting to hear bin Laden on trial! That must have reasoned that the gangsters in the White House wisely remember that "the dead do not speak."

State terrorism of global policeman Sean

as are the percentages of reality and fable of the information on the operation of Abbottabad, there is a central point, infinitely more important.

The point is that imperialism itself the right to kill who he wants anywhere in the world. The United States has carte blanche to a group of assassins sent to another country to kill whoever the government wants.

Even from the standpoint of bourgeois international law, which Obama has committed a crime simply, is a politically motivated murder, also committed by the military power of the American state. Put another way: it is terrorism pure and simple state.

For this reason, the fakers of the UN in the first moments were silent and confused ... before disposing in congratulations to Obama and kiss the NWMA that feeds them. Is that all the talk about "international law" and the "international community" came down against this brutal fact.

With this action, U.S. tries to defend his title of world policeman ... but with an aggravating factor. In states bourgeois "democratic" and "normal" is not legal to gendarmes and police officers who want to kill. U.S., by contrast, not only self-proclaimed world policeman, judge and executioner but is not accountable to anyone!

So no "justice was done" as proclaimed by Obama. No "justice was done", even in terms of bourgeois-democratic legality!

Bin Laden, Al Qaeda and the nature of the "fundamentalist" Islamic

Gravity as involved in these murders (both of the alleged "leader of Al Qaeda" and those who were at his home) has become dangerously confused about the nature of a character like bin Laden, political and humanly untenable.

The "fundamentalist" Islam in general and bin Laden were not particularly progressive currents, even though they had finally clashes with imperialism. Bin Laden path that largely embodies.

His career began in the 80 military service of U.S. imperialism and one of the most reactionary regimes in the world: Saudi Arabia. At that time, Washington's policy was to support the "Islamist" especially those who would go to Afghanistan. There bin Laden "created" Al Qaeda. Initially there was an "organization", but the database made by bin Laden for the CIA, the Islamists were going to fight there.

But the break with the U.S. and then the terrorist attack of September 2001 did bin Laden's most progressive and current. So, on that occasion, who constitute the current years after Socialism or Barbarism, we demonstrate "totally against these terrorist actions"

"First, the vast majority of victims are employees and American workers, the you can not simply identify the bourgeoisie and its imperialist state. Nothing human is alien to us. And from a human standpoint, we sympathize with them and their families, while we emphasize the responsibility that imperialism has in this tragedy. With these methods are not going to destroy capitalism and imperialist oppression, let alone go down that road towards a more just society, socialism.

"Secondly, these actions, more 'spectacular' that they are not undermine the real power of the enemy. By contrast, the momentary havoc that can result in their ranks, it's nothing compared to the confusion produced in the field of workers and peoples. Thus, an important sector of the American people are asking for a 'military response', ie back to be cannon fodder of the U.S. bourgeoisie as in Vietnam. Before the attack was, however, strong opposition to military adventures abroad.

"[...] As one of the disastrous consequences of the attacks, Bush, along with other imperialist leaders like Tony Blair, is using to structure a front counter and repressive national and global scale. "(Declaration of MAS , September 2001)

And unfortunately, it was! Without the convenient September 2011 attacks, imperialism would have been impossible to undo the colonial wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and push in the U.S. (and Europe) a wave of "Islamophobia", very useful to blind workers and popular masses in these countries about who their real enemies.

The attacks of September 11 strengthened imperialism, especially U.S.. For several years served to legitimize in the eyes of the masses, especially in the imperialist countries, the most aberrant colonial wars and supporting pro-Western dictators and autocrats in the region, as well as the genocide of the Palestinian people by Israel.

The rebellion of the Arab world and the political death of bin Laden

The physical disappearance of bin Laden comes at a time of decline of the Islamic fundamentalist currents, at least among the Arab peoples. It is no coincidence that these currents, including Al Qaeda, now only have weight in non-Arab regions (such as Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan). Bin Laden had been politically buried by the wave of uprisings in the Arab world.

is the opposite of what happened in the last decades of the last century when it developed strong Islamic fundamentalist currents. The great rebellion of the Arab peoples has shown, however, the emergence lay broad sectors, "secular". In any country where they have broken up fights and rebellions, religion and / or sectarian disputes have been a demarcation line!

Simultaneously, the current "political Islam" have been in the back of these events. This was true both for moderate currents, like the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt, to the fundamentalists and very weak. They have played a role or leading in any of the riots and protests.

Also, the process that has broken out, directly threatening the religious and Antila states in the region: Saudi Arabia and Iran. Although the latter is not an Arab country, the "shock wave" of the earthquake also affected.

Obama stands a short-term victory but the trend does not change deep crisis and decline of U.S. imperialism

Organized as a show of election campaign, Obama is doing on stage the role of big winner, with an eye on reelection. More broadly, it attempts to present as a major strategic victory for U.S. imperialism in the vague and unending "war on terrorism."

However, after being off the spotlights and the show ends, the balance is much less great. Obama and U.S. imperialism have gained a victory, but temporary and of limited scope. This is based, again, in the almost unique factor that the U.S. continues to maintain a decisive advantage: its military power.

But none of this trend reverses deep crisis and economic decline, social and geopolitical imperialism. Even in strictly military level, there might be a serious problem. Many Americans to question: "if you won the war against terrorism, we are doing in Afghanistan and Iraq?"

Meanwhile, in the U.S., drunkenness "patriotic" is that unemployment compensation does not yield, and an entire generation is doomed to the "austerity" budget cuts, low wages and job insecurity ... while 1% of billionaires have become super-profits ... and pay fewer taxes ...

Globally, it will not reverse the trend to "indiscipline" on U.S. imperialism, which is setting up an increasingly chaotic world. Neither the masses in rebellion "greater Middle East", but not prime them Islamic fundamentalism will become devotees of Washington.

All this, of course, not to underestimate the power that still has this imperialism. Is in decline but not on the verge of collapse.

"American capitalism wants to establish an imperial autocracy all over our planet," warned Trotsky in 1924, when the U.S. was just beginning its ascent. Today, despite its decline, this claim still stands!

to support this claim is "an imperialist autocracy our planet" that is behind the criminal incursion Abbottabad, Pakistan, and not concern for the victims of 11 September. It is from this perspective that we define ourselves, repudiating.

repudiate state terrorism of U.S. imperialism!
